a little bit here and there

It's been funny weather here. Some days it will snow big huge fat flakes for a few hours, but nothing will stick around long. These shoes that Porter have are like velcro for the snow on the bottom and it always makes me laugh when he comes crying back to me because he can't walk with the weight of all that snow on the bottom of his shoes.
this boy
This little cheeser is one funny guy. When I asked him why he unzipped his jammies he said it was so he could feel his soft blanket on his tummy. He does love his blanket. We are potty training right now. First day was awesome, second day was not, and so far today it has been pretty good. Amazingly enough he stays dry during nap time and pretty much through the night. So we are pretty much hanging out at home in his underoos for the duration.
gymnastics

Jackson's gymnastics class just ended and they had a little performance. He loved his class (Porter did too, he thought he was in it) and it was a perfect little class for us to go to. He met a really good friend and then we were able to go to story time after. He did really well and it was fun to watch him. He loved performing and smiled right at us the whole time.

some new powder

Some new snow yesterday and today provided us with something fun to play in.
Jackson is getting pretty good on his skis. He can take them on and off by himself.
And I am becoming a pretty good ski lift. In the evening last night there was a beautiful pink sunset on the freshly fallen snow. And now it is so bright outside because everything is reflecting off of the snow.

stuck in lodi

We had such a nice time visiting our friends in California. We had ebelskivers, delicious oatmeal, valentine's dinner, round round, seeing two new sweet babies, boys playing with their friends, birthday parties, and the beach.
Unfortunately Jackson could never quite shake a cold that he got before we left. He was so up and down and we hoped he would get over it. While we were camping at the beach his ear started hurting and then his other one. And the weather turned cold. It was cloudy and rainy and there was no chance of sunshine. So we left a day early so we could get him back to the dr. He did have a double ear infection. We were so sad to miss our friends for camping and a day at the beach, but we were glad to get him home and healing. Adam did go in the ocean, but his surfboard did not make it in. I guess we have to go back soon.
