Snow

This boy loves snow and played outside for hours this weekend. He keeps telling me what a beautiful winter day it is and how he loves how it sparkles. He looked outside today and the snow was melting off the grass and he was all sad. Can't wait for enough snow to go sledding.

I like watching these two scheming....

Ladies and Gentlemen

The boys have loved doing shows from their bunkbed. It always consists of bear hanging down from a string. Sometimes there are all sorts of toys and pictures that are set up. Occasionally everyone's favorite books are laid out. But today when I went to watch a show I just found boys (and bear) thanking me for everything I had done:

Singing thank you very boisterously and loud for hot chocolate and a bike ride, and making their leaf mobile. It was a fun treat and I was glad that I popped in for that show. (They are not all as fabulous as this one)

distraction

We went up the canyon for a few minutes the other day and threw rocks in the river. Could have stayed there for hours if we had warmer clothes on. It was fun to go and not have to do anything but explore.

Ummm

I LOVE THOSE CURLS

some scary food

Really we did not do all we would have liked to for Halloween. We didn't even carve pumpkins. We had so many sickies in our house that we tried our best not to spread the germs. Both boys had ear infections and Adam had strep. So that limited our activities.

However, we did make a few scary things to eat. Some eyeball soup, mummy calzone, and pumpkin pizza. And that was about as festive as we got besides 15 minutes at the trunk or treat. (we did get plenty of candy though)
