Fun at ALTA

Adam has a gold pass at Alta so he gets to go after work somedays....

a few weeks ago he took Jackson who went up on the lift and had a blast. he is getting to the point where he can put his own skis on and doesn't really need help, which is so nice.
Tim took a self portrait after taking the picture below of Adam and Dan

And Adam and I even got to go up for a few hours on a Saturday which was really fun. So nice to be close to the canyons.

Happy Birthday Porter

This sweet boy had a birthday last month...

However, due to extenuating circumstances we had to postpone festivities for a day. I had the stomach flu and was in bed all day. Jackson was kind enough to offer him cold cereal in bed and they had pizza and rootbeer with a movie when Dad came home from work. During the day I imagine it was rather dull when Jacks was at school, Neal was taking a nap, and I was also asleep in bed. He did get to watch a lot of movies though, which is one of his favorite things in the world, so maybe it wasn't so bad after all?

The next day he had breakfast in bed again with crepes He chose brownies and mint chocolate ice cream cones for dessert. Needless to say I was feeling much better and hope he had a wonderful two day extended birthday. This boy is pure entertainment and we love him so much.

Here comes Neal

He is a silly one.
We are glad he is ours.

Toothless

This boy lost one of his front teeth on Christmas Eve. We teased that the tooth fairy and santa clause got to hang out together. Then at the beginning of January he lost the other one. He was putting on snow clothes to go and play outside. He put one glove on and then used his teeth to pull the second glove on and it popped right out! He was so surprised he came running upstairs.

Pismo Beach on New Years Eve

We spent New Years Eve Day at the ocean. It was so nice to be back there with all of the kids. Adam brought his surfboard that he built and we were both able to get up on it. It is so pretty and it works too! Jackson, Adam, and I all went boogie boarding, but it was really, cold. We were glad we had wetsuits. We spent the entire day there and it was a blast. We weren't sure if Neal would love it as much as we all do, but he did. He played in the sand, ran away from the waves, and even took a nap while we were there. Porter just played and played all day. Julean's family all came and we had hot chocolate and fortune cookies on the beach. It was a great day.

P.S. Parkers and Schmidt's you were definitely missed. Let's go to the ocean soon.

California

After Christmas we went to California to see Julean's family
we stopped in Beaver and then kept going all night long

then we had dinner at the pier with tables that looked down into the ocean

We had such a fun visit at Julean's house. We hadn't seen their family for quite a while and we missed them! They have four boys and we have three so it was definitely a rowdy bunch. It was such a good trip and everyone had such a nice time. It was the perfect balance between going out and doing a few fun things, and staying at home to play and visit. Thanks Julean for having us. We're glad to have you closer.
