Is it getting hot in here?

Oh, I did think that the weather would begin to be nice again. And we could spend some nice afternoons outside like we did last week.

But NO it is blazing hot here.

Hakuna Matata

Last night we were waiting for Adam to get home and Jackson and I started eating our dinner. We were having egg rolls, which he had never had before. He turned to me and said, "Mom, do I like these?"

I told him I didn't know and maybe he should try it and find out. He turned and looked at me, looked at the egg roll, and said, "hakuna matata*" and ate it.

I was dying of laughter, I couldn't believe that he would understand that well enough to put it into context. And he did like the egg roll.

*hakuna matata is from lion king

Golly, what a day

This is the last of the River Picture Trip 2008. We packed in runs the last day and did 2 big runs and a kids run. It rained on and off and on. So luckily we rigged up a tarp and had a little protection during dinner. And we ate delicious dutch oven dessert and played games. It was wonderful.

Whaddya think?

Jackson thought he would pick something out for me to wear today and then put it on before I got a chance to.
Look at this sweet J that Jackson wrote. I asked him if he would like to try the next letter in his name and  he said no. Alrighty then.

And Porter says hi.

I wish they could be ouside all day

These boys are so entertained by less than an inch of water. I need to remember this next time we're all going crazy inside our apartment.

Slides at Snow King

....and here are the results of a few happy customers

Rocks in the River

Here are some more pictures from our river trip. I don't know how it is so entertaining to just throw rocks in the river, but it always is and we always do it with the kids. This provided a few hours of fun one morning.

Still to come....our makeshift rainshack and the alpine slides at Snow King!
